Hair in the Air

Hi Everyone!

Our big weekend plans consisted of watching a movie with Justina.  So I thought it would be perfect to create a planner ‘memory’ page to help keep track of the fun we had.

I used some patterned paper for the rainbow background and cut it out to fit the planner.  

Then I stamped the words directly onto the page.

I love how versatile the characters are in this set, you can make them into an adorable rainbow family! 

The images are colored on multimedia paper, colored with Zigs and cut out.  To add that extra sparkle I used a glue pen and some extra fine craft glitter.

It’s so sparkly and fun!

Vacation Countdown!

Hello Crafters!

When parks return to their normal operating hours there will be a huge crowd to celebrate, for certain!  I designed this little countdown to help celebrate that day when it arrives.  The stickers included in this pack have many more options than 10 days, but for my littles 10 is about all they can handle.  I wanted something child friendly that my oldest daughter could help cross out.

I used my circle punch to create an iconic silhouette and colored up the image using watercolor pencils.

Quarantine Adventures!

Hi All!

I hope that this post finds you all safe and well and happily creating in your crafty corner.  I have been so busy these last few weeks as Ohio put into effect rigorous quarantine guidelines.  As a teacher I have spent many hours in front of my computer to connect with my students.  Luckily, I was able to spend some blissful hours in my craft room to escape and unwind and bring to life some new planner spreads!

For this spread I used the following stamp sets from Kindred Stamps...

To create the background I used a torn sheet of paper and my ink blending brushes and ink pads.  

I hope these pages bring you some joy and inspiration.  One day, we will be traveling again and going on adventures!  Until then, I am dreaming of them in my planner. 

Long Hair Greetings All!

I’m sharing my most recent planner spread using Kindred Stamps Long Hair Don’t Care stamp set and Kindred Plans Emotions and Adulting.  I cut out an old page from my planner and attached it on card stock with a glitter background.  I loved creating her cascading hair to fill both sides of the spread.  And her little friend has 3D eyes that I used Crystal Effects on to bump them out a little bit.  A bit of Stickles here and there and bam- a whimsical weekly spread!

New Release: Hobbies and Friends

      Hobbies and Friends

A new release is almost here!  Meet Hobbies and Friends, the newest set from Kindred Stamps in their planner line.  I am getting to a wonderful point where I can begin to combine all of my planner sets from Kindred Stamps and really create spreads that are in line with exactly what I need.

I used a wide variety of planner sets, mainly because I wanted to incorporate words from all of them, but all of the characters are from Hobbies and Friends.  My most favorite is Planner Annie on the couch!  If there has ever been a stamp set that I can totally relate to, it is this one.  Not that I ever have time to do this, but it is one of my most favorite things!

My second project is hidden within the spread.  You know I love my trackers, and there was no way I could resist a binge watching tracker for my current shows that I am watching.  Quick and convenient, just lift the flap to reveal a useful and adorable ROYGBIV (my favorite) season and episode log!  I used the new Hobbies and Friends set in addition to Kindred Plans Work and Kindred Plans Healthy.

Twoo Wuv

Hello and Welcome!
Today I am sharing a fun layout featuring Kindred Stamps Twoo Wuv and Kindred Plans: Healthy.  In the spirit of Valentines Day, I wanted the "wuv" to continue into this week.  These beloved characters have been one of my favorites for many many years.  It was such fun to bring them to live in this week's spread.
I like using the bar on the left of my planner as a "to do" area for the week.  I cut card stock and covered the notes area and used some ink blending to carry over from the sunset on the other page.
To get the heart and sunset image, I cut out those shapes and used washi tape to carefully attach them to the page while I use my inks to blend of some smooth backgrounds. 
My trackers for the week are spread out over various days.  I combined stamps from Twoo Wuv and Healthy to create these cute trackers.  I love that they match with the theme, but stand out enough within the spread for quick and easy reference. 
I stamped the images with Archival ink on Canson multimedia paper.  I then used some clear embossing powder over the image so I could use my Spectrum Noir alcohol blending markers.

Pet Planner -Fur Babies

My fur baby Toula, was my first "child".  She is a yorkie/pom who will be turning 12 this year!  She loves to give kisses and bark at nothing.  Arlo joined our family a couple of years ago.  His official job is to catch critters, but he really loves to just lounge around the house and pretend to be starved of affection. 
For those of you out there with fur babies, I invite you to check out the most amazing new planner stamp set from Kindred Stamps, Planner Annie: Pets!
For this spread I switched to a Happy Planner and loved how I was able to create a gorgeous spread with these stamps to track important things for my fur babies.  I also created a divider so that I could quickly and easily get to my page in my journal.
