Merry Whatever

Guess who is making an appearance for the new release at Kindred Stamps this week?  My most favorite of them all!  This little green dude is sneaking around my planner waiting to cause a ruckus!
I had so much fun creating this spread for a present tracker and 25 days of giving.
For the first time in my journal, I used watercolor pencils to color everything and I was so excited with how well everything blended and didn’t bleed through the pages.  To finish things off, I added some Stickles and a green ribbon.
Head on over to Kindred Stamps to check out this amazing release just in time for the holidays!
Thanks so much for stopping,

Dreaming of Crafting

With a new baby in the house the time spent actually sleeping and dreaming is minimal.  The longing for sleep inspired me to create a dream log, because when I do get to catch some Z’s my dreams have been pretty entertaining and strange!

I knew that the stamp set I had to use to create this spread was Arabian Nights from Kindred Stamps in my black out journal.  Sometimes when you dream all of your wishes come true and other times they are terrifying.  This set captures all of the mystery and fantasy of my dream worlds.

I stamped the images on Canson multimedia paper then used my Zig real brush pens to color them.  ‘Dreams’ was written with a Kelly Creates metallic brush marker.  I used a variety of liquid silks from FSJ to create the dreamscape background.  Lastly, I fussy cut the images and then adhered then to the pages to create the perfect dream log!

Childhood Friends

Well friends, on October 8th we welcomed another beautiful baby girl to our family and life has been in a whirlwind ever since! However, I was able to sneak away for some crafting time with my beloved bullet journal.
I really wanted to create something functional yet sweet to record the baby’s height and weight each month.  I knew immediately i wanted to use Kindred Stamps- Childhood Friends stamp set, because what is sweeter than a cuddly bear and his beloved friends?!
I hope you enjoy the tracker I created with these fabulous stamps.

Kindred Stamps has outdone themselves with this great new planner stamp set "Kindred Plans: Work".  I loved playing and creating and see myself incorporating this set into many of my other monthly and weekly spreads.

The more I use the Plannie stamps the more I realize that I need to have ALL the WORDS from each set!  I love when things look uniform and symmetrical and I love the way the words from each set that has been released compliment each other.  I was able to use the words from 3 different stamp sets this week in my spread, the new set (work) and also the Celebrations set and Adulting set.

I always use pencil first to get my lines and make sure my monthly boxes are where I want them to be.  The next step is to stamp, this allows me to get that built in look with my stamp sets. Lastly, I go over it with a ruler and Tombow Mono Twin Pen.

Let the coloring begin!

To get the pumpkins at the bottom of the page I stamped several Plannie pumpkins from the Celebrations stamp set.  I then carefully cut them out and layered them with glue in the final design.

I LOVE how the words fit so perfectly in these frames!  What a great way to add some cuteness to every month.

Planner Annie: Breast Cancer Awareness

Planner Annie: Breast Cancer Awareness
Thanks for Stopping!
Last week, I talked about how I needed to have ALL the words from the adorable planner sets kindred Stamps has to offer.  This week I continued to incorporate a variety words from multiple planner stamp sets, but focused on a weekly breast cancer awareness spread.
As almost everyone knows, October is breast cancer awareness month which is a topic near and dear to so many of our hearts.  I wanted this spread to focus on hope, inspiration, and courage.  I also wanted to keep Miss Annie fun by bringing her to life with pink hair!  That's the best part about stamping in your journal, you can make it different every single time!
Prior to the coloring and adding all the fun elements, I measure and layout my spread.  I have a very much loved plastic eraser that doesn't damage the paper in my journals and my favorite TUL pencil.

I used the Black Out journal again this week and had to use my special pens.  Gelly Moonlight, Pentel Sparkle, and Sharpie Paint pen.

Planner Annie: Shark Week
Thanks for Stopping!

Sometimes you just need clean and simple mixed in with just the right amount of cute.
I created this quick period tracker with the adorable stickers available from Kindred Stamps (Shark Week).
To create the ocean water I tore some paper and used some life changing brushes with a light and dark shade of blue water based ink.  I also added some Stickles to get some extra sparkles.

Planner Annie: Weather Part 2!

Planner Annie: Weather Part 2!
Thanks for Stopping!
Hurricane Dorian has taken over the broadcasting stations and the world is closely following just how devastating this storm can become.  It has made me thankful for living in a state that does not encounter hurricanes while at the same time looking for ways to donate relief supplies and praying for the people who will be most effected by this storm.

Taking all of that into consideration, I decided to focus on a weather tracker for the first spread of September.  Using the Planner Annie Weather stamp set and sticker set from Kindred Stamps, I created both the tracker and a super fun over sized planner clip to hold my spot for quick reference.

For this layout, I used a dutch door to create a rainbow and key for the weather tracker.  This stickers that coordinate with this stamp set were too cute and the perfect way to create my code.  I used Zig markers to designate each type of weather with a specific color.

The front of the rainbow was created using metallic watercolor paints.  The bullet journal I use has 100 GSM paper, which allows me to use light water coloring supplies.  However, I wasn't happy with the amount of wrinkling on my dutch door (and how flimsy the watercolor made it), so I glued a piece of Canson multimedia paper to the back and carefully cut it out.  Not only did this eliminate the wrinkling, it also provided the key with additional support and a crisp background to showcase these adorable stickers.  I finished the edge with some gold washi tape.

Celebrations!

Planner Annie: Celebrations
Thanks for Stopping!
Planner Annie stamps do it again!  In this weeks new release, I am sharing two designs in my A5 journal using Kindred Stamps set Planner Annie: Celebrations.

I love how Kindred Stamps has captured so many holidays in all of Annie's cuteness.  As soon as I saw this set I knew I had to create a yearly calendar with all of my favorite holidays.  One of my favorite elements of this stamp set is something that could be easily missed.  There is a tiny heart and shamrock included in this set.  I used the heart to mark the holidays on the calendar and the shamrock for March.  I see myself using this tiny heart in so many more planner spreads to come!

My second planner spread focuses on the cute birthday Annie that comes in the Celebrations set.  I wanted her to have her own very special place in my journal. I don’t know about you, but I am always forgetting birthdays unless they are written down.  So, my solution was a Dutch door birthday book.  I now have a quick reference within my precious planner and it came out perfectly!
